All is well

GUR Pop-pop is out of surgery and is recovering nicely, so I'm delighted to report that all is well!

...was celebrated on Friday. Then a few days later, in the course of a regular exam, he discovered that he needs to have bypass surgery. He is in Denver in surgery now. He is annoyed with the whole thing, and I hope it doesn't bother him that I'm posting this, but I think everyone who reads this knows already anyway.

My father or I will post updates.

Celebrated GUR-pop-pop's birthday on Friday, visited Grandmother, and did chores. Whee.

Really I just had to blog this photo. Just a week she's started putting her head down on my shoulder (only for like 5 seconds at a time, but it's sooo sweet!).

I am going back now and filling in October. What a month!

I went to San Francisco, away from the girls for the first time, we managed to do all our canning, including a bushel of peaches, tomatoes, apple cider, green tomatoes... Made two Halloween costumes, delivered a big deadline at work, celebrated Ryan's birthday. It was really a full month -- we're exhausted.

Now it's just the holiday season, I'll have plenty of time for regular posting! (Har)
